Monday Jan 30, 2012

"Match-up #1: Judgment vs. Forgiveness" is part one of the four-part series "Do You Hate Religion But Love Jesus? You're Not Alone!" In this first sermon, Pastor Kevin goes into some of the reasons why people hate religion and religious people. The first reason given is that church people are judgmental hypocrites who are out of touch with reality. This is a commonly held view from many outside the church, though it is not a new thought. In fact, Jesus, Himself, called the religious leaders of His time judgmental hypocrites who were out of touch with reality. Pastor Kevin has set up the sermon series in a "final four" bracket, each week having a different match to discover together which traits belong to the religious and which traits belong to followers of Jesus.
