To start off our new sermon series, Pastor Kevin Daniels dives into what Grace means and explains the ways that God's Grace saves us from the punishment for our sin.

No One Hides a Lamp Under a Jar

Luke 8:16 (NRSV) states "No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lamp stand, so that those who enter may see the light." Bruce Bellinger's message emphasizes the importance of letting God's Light to shine in us and showing it to the world.

Courageous, Part 6: Prayer

Due to a recording error, the first couple minutes were lost. Pastor Kevin Daniels references Daniel 9, where Daniel, understood that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years (according to God's word given to the prophet Jeremiah). He plead with God in prayer and was heard. In Daniel 10, Daniel prays for 3 weeks before he receives an answer. As Christians, prayer is essential to our relationship with God.

Three Questions

Lakeview Christian Camp's director Neil Stewart delivers this message based on Mark 4:35-41 with the goal of addressing three questions that can apply to us today: Lord, do you not care that we drown? Why are you so afraid; have you no faith? Who is this that even the wind and the waves obey Him?

Special speaker Joanne Tramel preaches from Ephesians 5:21-33 to deliver this message on nurturing a healthy marriage (though applicable to all relationships). She points out toxins that can spoil a marriage and offers Godly advice on how to guard against them.

Courageous, Part 5: Trust

From Daniel 6, Pastor Kevin Daniels visits the time when Daniel was thrown in the lion's den for disobeying King Darius's decree. Daniel's trust in God was his saving grace and the reason for King Darius's decree that God is to be revered.

Blessed are You When People Insult You

To bring our Beatitudes series to a conclusion, Pastor Kevin Daniels addresses Mark 5:11-12, which states "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Blessed are the Persecuted

Mark 5:10 reads "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Pastor Kevin Daniels speaks on the eighth Beatitude and the importance of standing for Christ especially when the world tries to conform us to its standards.

Blessed are the Peacemakers

Our next Beatitude, Mark 5:9, states "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Pastor Kevin Daniels delves into what it means and how we can apply it in our non-peaceful world.

Blessed are the Merciful

For her turn at the Beatitude series, Joanne Tramel covers Mark 5:7. In order to earn God's mercy, we must first have mercy for those who wrong us and those in need.

Blessed are the Pure in Heart

Jennie Straight furthers our Beatitude series by taking on Mark 5:8. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God."

Blessed are Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness

Covering the next of our Beatitude series, Betty Rupp explains the fifth beatitude (Mark 5:6) and brings up important points about how hungering and thirsting spiritually can only be satisfied by God. 

Blessed are the Meek

Pastor Kevin Daniels continues our Beatitude series by elaborating on Mark 5:5. Meekness is commonly associated with weakness, but Pastor Kevin argues the opposite.

Blessed are Those Who Mourn

In continuation of our Beatitude series, Pastor Kevin Daniels explains the second beatitude (Mark 5:4) and assures us that there are more occasions to mourn than we think, but God is our comfort.
