For Palm Sunday, we read through the Holy Week narrative in chronological order, from Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem to His crucifixion and guarded tomb.

Live for Christ

Pastor Kevin Daniels contines in Colossians, where Paul tells the church to put on the virtues of Christ and live as He instructed. Take action! The life of a believer is not meant to be passive. If we are to fulfill Jesus' commands to spread the Gospel, we must convey the awesome love of God with our behavior as well as our words.

Christ Rules Supreme and Christ Has No Favorites

Part 1 of Pastor Kevin's message lays out the supremacy of Christ, who saves us by grace alone. No amount of rule-following are enough to get us into heaven.

Part 2 of the message illustrates that there is absolute equality in the eyes of God, so we are to remain humble and loving, as Jesus had lived. In doing so, we may spread the gospel to everyone we meet.

The Cost of Sin and the Promise in Repentance

In this message, Pastor Kevin teaches from the book of Joel. Joel prophesied at a time when Israel was in deep distress. The judgment of God was coming upon them as a result of their sin. Joel reassures the people that repentance is possible, and that in the end, God will restore his people to a right relationship with him. The promise of God to Israel is the promise of God to all people – judgment for sin is coming, but peace for those who repent and turn to him is also guaranteed. In our times of distress we can take comfort that while sin rules for a time, God’s justice will win out in the end.

Pastor Kevin wraps up the book of Jonah with a look at the repentance of Nineveh and Jonah's dishonorable response. If our enemies repent and come to God, how would we react?
